Why I Do What I Do

Hi, I’m Megan—the photographer behind the experience, the details, and the moments your family will treasure for years to come.
I believe the most meaningful portraits are about so much more than looking at the camera. They are about preserving a season of life exactly as it feels right now—the confidence and excitement of senior year, the connection between a family in the middle of a beautifully busy life, and the little in-between moments that often become the most treasured memories. My work is rooted in storytelling. I’m drawn to authentic expression, genuine connection, and the effortless moments that reveal personality: the sparkle in your senior’s eyes, the laughter between siblings, the way your family naturally fits together, or the bond with the pet who has been part of every milestone. These are the details that transform portraits into artwork and moments into legacy. As an English teacher at our local high school, storytelling has always been at the heart of who I am. Every day, I help students find meaning in words, themes, and voice—and that same passion carries into the way I photograph. I approach every session with intention, artistry, and a focus on creating images that feel timeless, elevated, and deeply personal. Outside the camera, life is full in the very best way. I’m a wife to a hard-working husband, a mom to two wonderful girls, and someone who deeply understands how quickly these seasons pass. That perspective is what makes preserving this chapter for your family feel so important to me. My goal is to create more than beautiful images. I want every senior and every family I work with to walk away with an experience that feels effortless, personal, and unforgettable—along with artwork that tells the story of who you are in this moment. |
