Why I Do What I Do
Capturing an expression helps tell the story of the moment, and I have educated myself in creating images that tell that story. Sometimes that capture is of the eyes, the window to one's soul; other times, it is to capture the interaction between a couple, a family, or a senior and their favorite pet. I truly believe that portraits aren't always posed people staring into a camera; instead, the time is an experience between you and your loved ones, and that is what I love to capture.
People are my passion. I spend my days as a school counselor and teacher at our local high school. I love what I do, and I wouldn't trade it for the world! I'm also a mother of two girls and a wife of a rancher; there is never a dull moment in our house! I am continuously managing to find a balance between my career, my family, and my photography. They are all so exciting I wish I could be at all three places at once!
